GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 312004
A folder is displayed as "empty" in list/tree mode if there's no permission to read/exec that folder
Last modified: 2005-08-02 19:14:33 UTC
In nautilus-2.11.3 list/treeview mode a folder that user doesn't have permission to open can be descended into (expanded into sub-tree) that is however shown as "empty". One would instead expect no arrow beside the treeview node that represents the folder. This seems to be somewhat related to http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=133696
In list mode I get a dialog and an empty window with 2.11.90. In tree sidebar I will get an "(Empty)" entry in italics as a child of the folder with no permission. marking as a duplicate of bug 44304 : correct me if I'm wrong here. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 44304 ***
