GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 311888
On Recurrence Meeting Screen, Calendar Doesn't Display Correct View.
Last modified: 2013-09-13 00:52:26 UTC
Please describe the problem: When you attempt to schedule a recurrence meeting, the middle calendar widget displays only the next 5 months. It is there to bold the dates that you are selecting as a visual cue of your selections. It always bases this section on 5 months from the current date. So if you schedule more than 5 months out, you have to manually move the calendar out to see the bolded dates. The month of the far left of that section should always be the start date of the meeting. If you schedule something like 2 years out, it's a few extra clicks to get a decent view. Steps to reproduce: 1. 2. 3. Actual results: Expected results: Does this happen every time? Other information:
Ok, these steps show you exactly what I meant by this bug: Click into the Calendar View. Select New-->Meeting For the Start Date put in like 01/01/2007 (something far into the future) Click into the [Recurrence] tab Select [x] This Appointment Recurs The Preview section below that displays 3-4 months that are bolded, however the first month on the Preview is based on the current date and not the stating date that you selected. This forces you to have to navigate that widget all the way out to the start date in order to see the dates bolding. The left-most month under Preview should be equal to the month of your Start Date.
Still broken in new UI. The calendar should start with the first date of the meeting, not the current month.
Makes sense.
Fix has been committed.
