I am not able to reproduce this problem with the latest build of evolution (2.3.x) Which calendar are you adding the recurring meetings to ? i.e. is it a Personal calendar or the calendar specific to some groupwise or exchange server. I wasn't able to reproduce the problem on SuSE 9.3 machine running the latest builds of evolution packages. Can you try with latest evo packages ?
closing this bug as the reporter has not responded. Please reopen the bug if you find this happening in the latest version with the needed information.
Still occurs in latest Ubuntu Breezy. I'm using my default local Personal calendar. I can add events without recurrence exceptions without a problem. It looks more like a menu/UI bug in a dependent library to me. Package versions include: evolution 2.3.7-0ubuntu2 evolution-data-server 1.3.7-0ubuntu1 evolution-plugins 2.3.7-0ubuntu2 libgnomeui-0 2.11.2-0ubuntu1
We have sorted out this issue. This is a bug in gtk+ which would be fixed by upgrading gtk+ to versions >= 2.8.3. Thanks for reporting.
