Description Abe Lau 2005-07-24 13:17:02 UTC
Please describe the problem:
Error "Cannot determine type of stream" in both Totem and rhythmbox (both using
gstreamer backend) playing attached mp3 file

http://mathrick.org/files/bad_mp3.mp3

Steps to reproduce:
1. open bad_mp3.mp3 (http://mathrick.org/files/bad_mp3.mp3) using either totem
or rhythmbox (both using gstreamer backend)
2. got error message "Cannot determine type of stream"
3. bad_mp3.mp3 wont' start playing

Actual results:
Error "Cannot determine type of stream"

Expected results:
the mp3 file starts playing

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
if I split the file up with "split -b 1m bad_mp3.mp3", the first chunk plays well
