Open Fiel browser 2. In the tree view click a file 3. Expected Results: Nautilus has no installed viewer capable of displaying the file. I don't fully understand. I suppose you are talking about nautilus files browser ? I cannot reproduce this issue since files are not displayed in the tree view, only folders. Can you try to reproduce the bug with a more recent version of nautilus and tell us step by step how to reproduce this ? Thank you for your time.
I can reproduce. Lionel : you have to go in the file preferences of nautilus, first pane ("Views"), bottom item : deselect "Show only folders". Then you'll see files in the tree view. And indeed, when you select a file, you get "Couldn't display bla bla bla, the location is not a folder".
