GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 310671
Tooltip should show currently playing song, instead of 'CD Player'.
Last modified: 2005-07-18 06:14:52 UTC
Distribution/Version: dropline It would be very nice if the icon in the notification area for the cd player would show the currently playing song on mouse hover over (simular to how the rhymbox icon works).
Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 72802 ***
Scott Harmon: GNOME-CD does show the currently playing song and current time on mouse hower. It shows "CD Player" only in the stopped condition. What version of GNOME-CD are you using. Bug #72802, is different. Ie tooltip on mouse hover on the display. So this is not a duplicate of that bug.
scott@amdg:~$ gnome-cd --version Gnome gnome-cd 2.10.2
2005-03-28 Nirmal Kumar <nirmalk@cvs.gnome.org> * gnome-cd/callbacks.c (status_ok ): * gnome-cd/gnome-cd.c (tray_icon_create): Sets the tooltip for the gnome-cd status tray icon to show the name of the album currently playing and Current time. (Fixes #144163). This has been fixed in the latest releases. Could you try 2.11.x.
