Description Giacomo Perale 2005-07-17 09:29:01 UTC
Actually in "View as icon" Nautilus displays long filenames in two or more
lines; if a filename contains words separated by hyphens "-" or whitespaces " ",
Nautilus begins a new line between two words.
Since bash can't manage whitespaces without escape characters, many users are
used to separate words with dots "." or underscores "_" instead of spaces, but
nautilus considers these kind of filenames as a whole word and begins a new line
after the max possible number of characters: see
http://img309.imageshack.us/img309/4409/nautilus3jv.jpg

I'd like if nautilus could deal with underscores and dots as he deals with
hyphen or whitespaces.
