Hi,
"text along a path" is missing some ui options.
For instance, we cannot choose :

- select path, same as layer for "filter > map > bum map"
- position on path (in blue on screenshot)
- alignement on path (in green on screenshot)
- mirror effect (in red on screenshot)
- no distors path (in yellow on screenshot)

Those options will be usefull for this tool.
My english was terribly poor, I hope my screenshot will be more speaking.

It seems to me that putting these controls into the text tool options (maybe
inside a "Text along path" expander?) would be better than popping a dialog. 
Other than that, and of course some changes in wording, I agree that these
things would be useful.
