The "information" side pane shows the file type for the selected folder - ie, it
always shows "folder". As you can't show the information for any other type of
file (at least that's how it works on my system, maybe that's a bug ;-)) it's
not very useful to specify the type. We might as well dump it and just show the
file count.

Usability team, any ideas? IMHO we should change the sidebar to always show
information on the selection instead of always showing the open folder's properties.
