Version details: 2.6.8-1
Distribution/Version: Debian sid

This bug may be related to #308332. When creating a directory in the file
chooser interface, the file name is reset to an empty value after the directory
is successfully created.

I've seen this behavior in Fedora Core 4 GNU/Linux. Saving a file in Firefox
(Fedora Core has a Firefox with the GTK+ file selector), or any GTK+ application
is very frustrating if I want to make a directory and use the filled-in
filename. The filename that is in the file selector disappears and I have to
type in a file name.
