Christian: It seems the crash is due to filter or vfolder ? What all accounts you have setup in your box ? Whats the evolution version ? Can you get a stack trace with debugging symbols ? Thanks for the bug report. Unfortunately, that stack trace is not very useful in determining the cause of the crash. Can you get us one with debugging symbols? Please see http://live.gnome.org/GettingTraces for more information on how to do so.
Here is some additional information. I have setup several accounts with about 10-20 vfolders. The evolution version I use is evolution 2.2.1.1-0ubuntu4 (Ubuntu Hoary). Please advise if you this helps to solve this issue. Thank you for your support. (gdb) thread apply all bt

And another gdb information: (gdb) thread apply all bt

I can work with evolution again. What I did is to restart evolution with a new local tree and then move over all existing mailboxes step by step. There had been one inbox that caused the freeze. But just moving the core mailbox without the files cmeta, ev-summary, ibex.index, ibex.index.data made it work again. If there is a need of additional information out of the files cmeta, ev-summary, ibex.index, ibex.index.data please let me know.
