Description Clément Bègue 2005-06-13 14:53:28 UTC
Add a Box to your diagram
Enlarge it to have ennough room to put something inside it
Add a textbox to your diagram
write few chars not to loose it
try to move it to the upper left corner not connecting it to any connection points.
-> the textbox (or anything else with a connection point) connects itself to the
central connection point.

It would be great if we could have a key to disable the connection to anythong
and just have a plain move.
Then adding text into boxes not at the central CP would be possible.

(If there is aready a way to do this that I didn't find, I am sorry)

A good example of how the central connectionpoints are a bit too eager.

If avoidable, I don't want the central connectionpoints to be something you have
to switch on and off, they're just too useful for that.

At the very least, moving objects (as opposed to moving connectable handles)
should not cause central connectionpoints to snap the object.

Setting to major, as this problem makes a number of good uses problematic.

I'm tempted to mark this as duplicate of bug #303301
At least the fix there should fix this one as well ...
