Description MAtteo HCE Valsasna 2005-06-13 08:36:59 UTC
Please describe the problem:
after selecting "remember password" in the password request dialog, the password
becomes cached and user isn't asked again for it. this looks like the expected
behaviour.

the problem is than after making a password cached, the account configuration
pane does't show the "remember password" checkbox selected. an user that wanted
to check his/her account settings would then be unaware that his/her password is
cached, and wouldn't be able to undo her choice this way.

the action menu - forget password works: after using it the password become
non-cached

Steps to reproduce:
1. in the autentication dialog for a mail account, insert the correct password
and check the "remember password" checkbox
2. open the account configuration pane
3. select the mail account (the same as step 1 :)
4. select the "receiving mail" pane

Actual results:
the "remember password" checkbox IS NOT checked

Expected results:
the "remember password" checkbox SHOULD BE checked, and unchecking it should
have the same effect as the "forget password" menu action

Does this happen every time?
yes

Other information:
it looks like the forget password command works on the currently selected
account. this isn't obvious to the user. the name could be changed in "forget
password for this account", or a submenu could be added, offering to forget the
password for each accounts, or for all of them.
