Description of the crash:
On adding the pilot-applet to the panel, the applet configure screens
get to when they will pull my infrormation from the pilot and then dies
"unexpectedly"

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. Configure pilot-applet
2. Select "USB", /dev/pilot, defaults
3. Press hotsync button when prompted

Expected Results:
App should retreive my user id from the pilot.

How often does this happen?
Every time, regardless of port speed or timeout settings.
