Description Tom Badran 2005-06-08 16:55:48 UTC
Distribution/Version: Ubuntu Hoary

This may or may not apply to other games with a high score.

When using a local user (account name tom) my high score would be saved and it
would pick up the name fine. Then we moved our setup to NIS and it would still
save the scores, using the user name rather than real name. For some reason
robots tries to save the score with no name associated (empty real name field
perhaps?), and they also dont get saved across sessions anymore.

I dont have details on the NIS server setup, but if you need any info i can get
at the client end ill be glad to provide it for you.

Thanks

This is a bug in libgnome and it has been fixed. I have marked this bug as a
duplicate of an earlier gnome-games bug because it describes the problem fairly
well for you.
