Description Christian Neumair 2005-06-06 18:58:54 UTC
From bug 145732:
wrt the delete action in the popup menu, Alan Horkan suggested:
"I was suggesting making a slight change to how Delete behaves.
Currently delete is useless if no text is selected, instead of being disabled it
should delete the all the text in the container without needing to select it all
first."
Comment 1 Matthias Clasen 2005-06-08 05:01:57 UTC
That would break the conceptual simplicity of cut, copy and delete all operating
on the current selection. If there is no selection, they are all disabled. Do
you propose to change the meaning of cut and copy as well, in the absence of a
selection ?
Comment 2 Matthias Clasen 2005-06-08 05:57:03 UTC
I think you want a "Clear" item, instead of in addition to the "Delete" item
Comment 3 Reinout van Schouwen 2005-08-21 23:42:45 UTC
FWIW, Epiphany already has a Clear item in its address entry context menu.
