Description Ross Hanson 2005-06-02 20:37:24 UTC
Distribution: Novell Linux Desktop 9 (i586)
Package: Evolution
Priority: Normal
Version: GNOME2.6. 2.2.2
Gnome-Distributor: Novell, Inc.
Synopsis: Updated from 2.0 to 2.2 now unable to get into evolution at all
Bugzilla-Product: Evolution
Bugzilla-Component: Calendar
Bugzilla-Version: 2.2.2
BugBuddy-GnomeVersion: 2.0 (2.6.0)
Description:
Description of the crash:
When I double click the evolution Icon I receive message "The
Application "evolution-exchange-storage" has quit unexpectedly
I do receive a partial evolution page which is blank and says at the top
"Evolution - Tasks"

Steps to reproduce the crash:
1. Update from Evolution 2.03 to 2.2 from redcarpet
2. Update Ximian Connector from Redcarpet
3. Double click the Evolution icon in Suse Desktop Linux 9.0

Expected Results:

How often does this happen?
Every time

Additional Information:

I did a E2K_DEBUG=3D4
/opt/gnome/libexec/evolution/2.2/evolution-exchange-storage

Then typed evolution at the command prompt instead of double-clicking on
the icon and received:

_X11TransSocketINETConnect() can't get address for 0:6000: Temporary
failure in name resolution

(evolution-exchange-storage:29432): Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open
display:

Name resolution works just fine. I didn't ever have this problem, before
trying to update to Evolution 2.2
