I don't observe this in 2.3.7, moving to NEEDINFO.
Comment 2 André Klapper 2006-02-18 10:34:47 UTC
running evo-2.5.91:

click on an email, choose "convert to task". go to tasks view. right-click on that converted task and choose "assign task". now i cannot add/edit/delete any attendees, also the task editor does not care that i normally have enabled "view | time zone" (time zone filed is displayed if i choose a normal task and right-click "assign task").

reopening.
viren: please do not mark bugs as NEEDINFO if you do not ask for info - this is misusage.

It's because organizer is the mail initiator, so you cannot change task values when you are not an organizer. It can be either reply-to or from (in this order).
Do you really want to change this?
Comment 5 Matthew Barnes 2008-03-11 00:26:59 UTC
Bumping version to a stable release.
Comment 6 Milan Crha 2015-11-10 12:50:36 UTC
Evolution currently saves regular (unassigned) tasks. Users can assign them to anybody in the opened editor or when right-clicking it and choosing "Assign Task".
