Description David Richards 2005-05-18 13:07:01 UTC
I've been asked to add this item from our users. As Evolution works now, any
colors darker 'medium' cannot be used on the calendar because the text is always
black. If you wanted to use dark blue for instance, you can't because the text
is too dark. Requesting therefore that the calendar add/properties widget
allows you configure the foreground (font) color as well.

Attaching very simple mockup of the screen.

to me, this is a bug and not an enhancement. :-)

At a minimum, it should default the font to 'White' on dark colors. The default color template contains colors that cannot even be used at all. The darker blues are worthless because you can't read them with black letters.

Request please apply to 2.6 along with 2.7? This would really help us greatly.
Comment 6 André Klapper 2006-05-03 19:54:36 UTC
hmm... good question. rajeev, does your patch depend on cairo (and can therefore only go into 2.7), or is this cairo-independent (=also 2.6)?
Comment 7 Rajeev R 2006-05-04 04:41:33 UTC
Andre, This patch doesnt depend upon cairo by anyways, :)

harish:
This patch doesn't change the UI at all. It simply changes text colors based on the calendar color selected. Dark calendars get light letters. Can you commit please to both releases?
