In the mailer, try to increase or decrease the text shown in the preview pane by
pressing <Ctrl>0 or <ctr>8 or <ctrl>9 using the num lock keys. There is no
affect in the text size of the preview pane.

Additional information:
But the text size changes when number keys above the alphabets are accessed to
change the text size. It also gets affected when selected from the 'actions >
text size' menu.
