Description Max Powers 2005-05-15 21:44:51 UTC
Please describe the problem:
A directory that is copied in Nautilus will inherit an impossible date and time
stamp (Wed Dec 31 16:00:00 1969). This bug is only present in regards to
directories and only when they are copied.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Create a new directory or select a current one in Nautilus
2. Copy it (right click "copy file" or CTRL+C)
3. Paste it in Nautilus (right click "paste files" or CTRL+V)

Actual results:
Directory is created with an impossible date/time stamp (Wed Dec 31 16:00:00 1969)

Expected results:
Directory should be pasted with current date/time.

Does this happen every time?
Always reporducible.

Other information:
It doesn't matter if the directory currently exists or is created via Nautilus
or command-line. Once the directory is copied and pasted, it will inherit this
impossible time stamp. This only applies to copying directories, cutting and
pasting them returns a correct date/time stamp.
