Description Benjamin Kahn 2005-05-13 19:39:24 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When replying to a message from a groupwise user, the quoted reply shows each
paragraph on it's own (quite long) line.

This is different from the way the email is originally displayed in Evolution,
and different from how the email looks as source.

The content headers look like this:

Content-Type: text/plain; charset=windows-1252
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
Content-Disposition: inline

Each line in original email is terminated with " =" and Evolution displays these
lines word-wrapped to the edge of the mailer window.

However, when quoted in a reply, all newlines are stripped and none are added.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Reply to an email formatted as described above.

Actual results:
Horrible reply is generated with long vertical scrolling.

Expected results:
Standard reply. The paragraphs should be wrapped at 70 columns.

Does this happen every time?
Oh yes.

do you still this issue with 2.3.x?
Comment 2 Benjamin Kahn 2005-08-16 12:53:04 UTC
Where can I get packages for 2.3.x to test?
Comment 3 André Klapper 2006-02-18 10:19:57 UTC
xkahn, do you still see this with 2.4 or 2.5?
Comment 4 Benjamin Kahn 2006-02-18 20:26:51 UTC
I'm afraid I no longer get mail from people using Groupwise. So I can't answer this question, and probably no longer care. I'll close the bug.
