Description 11842 2005-05-13 17:36:30 UTC
Please describe the problem:
When selecting the deinterlace filter in the appropriate menu, the DVD video is
greatly deinterlaced, but subtitles are too, while they shouldn't.

Xine-ui handles this correctly though. Maybe it's related to Bug #144932 ?

Steps to reproduce:
1. launch a dvd with subtitles
2. select deinterlace filter

Actual results:
The subtitles are deinterlaced.

Expected results:
Only the video should be deinterlaced, not the subtitles.

Does this happen every time?
Yes. Every single time.

Other information:
I'm running Totem, xine-lib and xine-ui from current archlinux repos.

The only thing Totem does is to enable the XINE_PARAM_VO_DEINTERLACE video
driver parameter. It doesn't use the new deinterlacing filter that xine-ui
probably is.
