Copy and paste don't usually result in highlighted text being saved to
the clipboard

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Highlight some text
2. press 'ctrl-c'	
3. choose another doc
4. press 'ctrl-v'

Actual Results:
Nothing

Expected Results:
highlighted text to be reproduced

How often does this happen?
Every time

running new install Ubuntu hoary
