Description NoThanks iwantprivacy 2005-05-10 00:01:34 UTC
Version details: and according to #gnome on IRC all versions subsequent to 2.7.x
Distribution/Version: Ubuntu

Please remember that what is desired here is to change the default terminal
window size. That means that no matter where you start terminal from, or how
(say through third party package where you have no way to pass options to the
command line), you get the default size unless something else overrides it.

This means that suggestions to "set it in the menu" or "set your panel
launchers" will not work especially since it won't be invoked through those
mechanisms, and the invocation can be done remotely.

Please also remember that this is basic UNIX functionality. THis capability has
been included in every UNIX Windowing system I have used since 1983 (remember
SUN-1's ? :-) ). Thats 22 years, folks. How can you leave it out?

REPRODUCTION OF BUG:
#1 Open a gnome terminal
#2 select Edit
#3 select profiles
#4 select a profile
#5 iterate thru every tab looking for a "size" option.
#6 its not there.

Hello,

I'm sure this option could be very useful.
However thsi bug is not blocker, is an enhancement; I change this bug to follow
this status.
