Description David Richards 2005-05-05 00:35:53 UTC
Please describe the problem:
This is a repeat of a long closed out issue from very early on. It's still
happening in 2.2. The --force-shutdown flag should shut down all daemons
initiated, but it's leaving the bonobo process runnng. I think because bonobo
might be used by other software packages, it's left behind. Because bonobo is
running, that leaves gconfd running as well.

Ona computer where you are logged into the gnome desktop, this is not big deal
because you want those pieces to run after Evo shuts down. However, when you
are using remote display, it can't leave stuff behind and running. Bonobo
doesn't time out and keeps running.

Please shut down what's started :)

Steps to reproduce:
1.
2.
3.

Does this happen every time?

If we login with KDE session and do --force-shutdown, bonobo-activation-server
process also stopped.

Marking as an enhancement.
Comment 2 Matthew Barnes 2011-01-11 01:11:52 UTC
Closing this as OBSOLETE since we're long past Bonobo now.
