GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 302706
Some dia files fails to export to eps
Last modified: 2005-12-28 12:31:45 UTC
When I try to export to .eps, Windows complains and shutdown dia. The eps file is created, but corrupt. I can export to other formats, but not to eps. I have a file that fails everytime I try to export it to eps. I have no idea why this file dosent work, but can email it if you want to it.
If you could produce a sample file and attach it to the bug report using the "Create a New Attachement" link, that would be a big help.
Created attachment 46005 [details] This .dia-file will help you reproduce the bug.
Doesn't seem to happen with 0.94 or current CVS under Linux.
Hi, I have the same problem like Christian Bratli. Every time I try to export my dia file to *.eps (using Pango Fonts), the program says(german-english translation): "dia.exe causes a software error. Please restart Dia." My configuration: Dia 0.94 OS: Windows 2000 Ps: I'm not sure, but maybe it contains on it. At every start of dia I get a DOS-Box with the message: I/O warning: failed to load external entity "NULL".
The following mailed to me by Lars Brenna <larsb@cs.uit.no> ----------- Sorry I'm not awake enough at the moment to bother getting a bugmail account. :( However, I have a suggestion for a bugfix to "Bug 302706: Some dia files fails to export to eps" As far as I can see, the attached .dia file is compressed. Correct? Try saving the same file, using "Save as.." and uncheck "compress dia file", and then exporting to .eps again. I had the same problem in versions 0.91-0.94, and this little trick helped me! -------------- Could you try this out? I can't see why it should work, but if it's true, it's something to go by.
Can reproduce with Steffen's 0.94 build but not with mine - fresh from cvs (against my ususal habit with pango/ft2). ANyway I fail to see what's differnt with that bug to bug #150813 *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 150813 ***
