a new and clean installation of the latest stable versions of gimp for
windows(2.2.6), including animation-package. (German version)

Starting the the Twain-dialogue causes a failure:

 (Das Plugin »twain.exe« ist abgestürzt
(C:\Programme\GIMP-2.0\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins\twain.exe)

My system: AMD Athlon XP 2000+, W2k (all SP / Updates), Asus GeForce Fx 5600,
Mustek 1200UB Plus-Scanner. The failure appears with no exception known to me.

I have no further scanner available at the moment, so I can't say if it is only
matter of my scanner ('s Twain-software)

By the way:
With WinXP-Pro on a IBM-ThinkPad R51 the same scanner with the same version of
Gimp causes no problems.
