GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 302241
GTK+ Applications crash after installing GTK+ 2.6.4 (GAIM, GIMP, etc)
Last modified: 2005-04-28 03:57:13 UTC
Steps to reproduce: 1. Obtain the current GTK+ Stable release from http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.html or the one included with GAIM 2. Install it in a Windoze '98SE, then simply open any GTK+ Application 3. The app crashes with a MS-DOS prompt message before showing anything onscreen: GLib-CRITICAL **: g_strsplit: assertion 'string != NULL' failed Stack trace: LIBRO provocó un error de página no válida ["Invalid Page Error"] en el módulo LIBGTK-WIN32-2.0-0.DLL de 0167:006dd3ae. GAIM 1.2.1 and GIMP both crash just the same, only they've hidden their DOS prompts.
The current GTK+ stable release is 2.6.4
