Description hpollinger 2005-04-27 01:18:22 UTC
Please describe the problem:
In the "Print Size" dialog, when "millimeters" and "pixels/mm" are selected, if
you change a number, click "OK" and re-open the dialog, the numbers are changed
and are much larger.

It seems that the dialog takes numbers always as "inches", no matter what is
selected in the drop-down box, but displays the values in "millimeters" after
the re-opening.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the "Print Size" dialog
2. Set units to "millimeters" and "pixels/mm"
3. Enter a reasonable number for "height", e.g. "100", and move focus away from
the edit box.
4. See how all other numbers are set accordingly
5. Click "OK"
6. Open the "Print Size" dialog again and see wrong numbers.

Actual results:
Value for "height" is automagically changed from "100" to "2540".

Expected results:
Value for "height" should stay "100".

Does this happen every time?
Yes

Other information:
Work around:
Just work in inches, this works fine.

Checking for duplicates before filing a bug report would have saved you and us
some work...

I checked for duplicates before I filled in this bug report, and I really took a lot of time to search it, much more than it took to write this bug report! Even now, as I know there is a duplicate, it's not possible to find this duplicate using all reasonable search terms, like "Print Size" or "millimeters" (and yes, I also checked for closed bugs!). E.g. for "millimeters" I just get "Software error:
timeout at buglist.cgi line 948."

So, if you would provide us a better search function, it would save you and us some work...
