Description Scott Cunningham 2005-04-26 22:38:27 UTC
Version details: or 2.2.4-fixed
Distribution/Version: XP Professional

After taking a picture with my NIKON Coolpix 2100 camera in its highest
resolution mode 1600x1200 low compression. I copy the image to my computer and
attempt to open the virgin file with GIMP 2.2.6 or the GIMP 2.2.4 "fixed" and I
recieve the message that the jpeg.exe plugin has crashed and will have to close.
I would normally expect the image to load successfully. This has not a problem
in the original 2.2.4 or any other previous versions of the GIMP. This also does
not crash the entire GIMP, only the jpeg.exe plugin. I have downgraded to
version 2.2.4 but would like to be able to upgrade to 2.2.6 or later versions
and be able to edit pictures from my camera. Your time and consideration is much
appreciated.
