Description franksch 2005-04-21 13:59:01 UTC
For useability of the desktop it should be possible to modify the menues to fit
my needs. For instance: Make a submenu "Company site" in the main menu -> add
applications like minicom, Host1, Host2, ... HostN to this menu firing up
minicom or an ssh session to a single host.
Due to the docs this is possible right clicking on a menu and choosing "Edit"
(or so) in the popup. The popup don't contain such an item. Due to the docs it
is too possible to change the menues using the file browser with the URLs
"applications:///" or "prereferences:///". These URLs give the error "Invalid URL.
This is one of the main reason for me (amongst others) not to use GNOME. Im
writing this on a desktop running Fluxbox. At home I'd be writing on a desktop
running AfterStep.
Regards
Frank
