Distribution/Version: XP Pro SP2

When I try to open a JPG-File with GIMP 2.2.6, the Software Crashes. Even after
a Reboot I cannot open a JPG-File.
With GIMP2.2.3 everything is working fine.

Did you check if one of the similiar bug reports, e.g. bug 300186, could apply?
