Description Volodymyr Khomenko 2005-04-20 09:23:45 UTC
Distribution/Version: Win2000 sp4, WinXP sp2

Just try to load file http://koresha.org/master/tmp/DSCF0761.JPG to GIMP.
jpeg.exe crashes with 'memory could not be written' error. Tracing show that
error occur in libexif-12.dll, called by jpeg.exe.

Looking for duplicates before filing a bug report would have been asked too
much, wouldn't it?

Using a libexif 0.6.12 that doesn't rigger bug 300186, there are sill a lot
messages like

"Corrupt JPEG data: found marker 0xd9 instead of RSTx"

with x in 0..7. The image isn't loaded completely, too.

The above url is no longer accessible, so nobody else can look at the file right
now. This is one big reason why such things should be handled as an attachment
to the bug.
