Description Milosz Tanski 2005-04-13 13:50:51 UTC
Replace the balls with, the ones used in "Five or More".

Other information:
It would improve the overall consitency in the look of the gnome games.

It's not that ugly, but indeed it hasto use SVG graphics.

I haven't found any duplicate of this.

Comment 2 Callum McKenzie 2005-04-13 23:20:10 UTC
Yeah, they are bad. They were done in a hurry and I couldn't imitate the
original ball theme very well. On a fresh install the default should now be
planets anyway. At some point I would like the themes to be shared, but the
different animation schemes used by each game make this slightly tricky.

As to the point that it "has to" use SVG. No theme "has to" use SVG. Some themes
work just fine as pixmaps and can't be done effectively in SVG (e.g. the planets
theme). In the gnome-games-extra-data package there is at least one SVG theme
for same-gnome (whose name I forget right now, it was the one with the
spinny-pulsing squares).
Comment 3 Oli 2005-08-20 09:24:08 UTC
What is really annoying is that in the current version I'm using (2.10.1) it
takes such a long time until movement is done. If you click on a couple of balls
and some start to fall, to shift, etc. it takes loooong untill you can make the
net click. It wasn't alway that way. Used to be much faster.
Comment 4 Callum McKenzie 2005-08-20 10:35:38 UTC
Oli: in 2.12 there will be a "fast animation" option in the view menu. You can
try it now with one of the recent 2.11 testing releases..

proposal for Same Gnome theme: nice looking shiny balls;

Same Gnome looks very very very pretty now.

Try it!
Comment 7 Jason Clinton 2010-04-20 21:47:52 UTC
The old Same GNOME has been completely rewritten and redesigned and is now called Swell Foop. Please feel free to move this bug to the new component if you feel that it still applies to the new version.
