GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 300368
jpeg.exe crashes with certain jpeg
Last modified: 2008-01-15 12:52:07 UTC
Version details: With GTK+ 2.6.4 Distribution/Version: XP Home SP2 All that has to be done is try to load the image in GIMP 2.2.6. Windows XP then reports that jpeg.exe crashes. GIMP does not crash after this, but it does not load the image. The image is included in the gimpwin-users Yahoo! group photos section. It's unedited to replicate the error and so is rather large (raw digital camera output). GIMP 2.2.6 GTK+ 2.6.4 XP Prof SP2 I use Swedish as language. I have the same problem. When trying to open a jpeg I get the same message, that jpeg.exe crashes. GIMP does not crach. I've tried with 200 Mb cache, as well as 128 Mb cache. This happens whith any jpeg taken directly from my camera, and also any jpeg I have shrunk (whith the help of ACDsee) to fit in webpages (that is, also whith smaller jpegs). But it doesn't happen when I open jpegs taken from the net or sent to me by friends, strange. Here's the message I get (in swedish): GIMP-meddelande Insticksmodulen kraschade: "jpeg.exe" (C:\Program\GIMP-2.0\lib\gimp\2.0\plug-ins\jpeg.exe) Insticksmodulen som dog kan ha rört till GIMPs interna tillstånd.
