Description Dan 2005-04-12 07:56:45 UTC
Version details: windows exe
Distribution/Version: XP plus SP2

I had previously had GTK+ V2.6.2 and GIMP 2.2.4 installed
I uninstalled the old version and installed GTK+ V2.6.4 and GIMP 2.2.6
after downloading the binary's from sourceforge.

Now when i try to open JPEG files then the plug-in crashes:

GIMP message Plug-in crashed: "jpeg.exe"

The Microsoft error dialog contains the following information:
"Jpeg.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience."

AppName: jpeg.exe AppVer: 0.0.0.0 ModName: libexif-12.dll
ModVer: 0.0.0.0 Offset: 00007ac0
---
(The full diagnostic file and sample files can be made available on request).

The Jpeg files are from an olympus digital camera so they contain EXIF
information, however they did open OK in the previous version of gimp (v2.2.4)
on the same machines.
Some JPEG Files (presumably without EXIF information) seem to open OK, as do
other image files.

I have experienced this error on two separate machines with multiple image files.
