Description Johannes Berg 2005-04-05 07:41:47 UTC
I just ran across this again -- everytime I need to configure evolution on
a new machine all my folders (yeah, I have far too many, but ...) have a
stupid listview layout where you have ||From|Subject|Date|| all with the
same width which leads to the Date column having a lot of whitespace and
the Subject column having more cut off than would be necessary.
It'd be nice if the defaults could be adjusted a bit to be more agreeable.

changed the default mail listview widths to appropriate width

the default date field contains more whitespaces were as subject field width is less.

rakesh: applied your patch - it is not applicable at all to set resizable to false. this patch surely needs some additional work.
Comment 5 Johannes Berg 2008-09-06 09:54:02 UTC
Would it help if I created a patch that just sets resizable to true and kept the rest of the patch? Or has this actually been applied and I haven't noticed because I haven't created folders in a long time?
Comment 6 André Klapper 2021-05-19 12:14:27 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org
which have not seen updates for a longer time (resources are unfortunately
quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new bug report ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
