GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 273649
SpamAssassin & Vipul's Razor integration
Last modified: 2013-07-24 14:39:47 UTC
Feature Requests: It is my understanding that Evolution uses the locally installed SpamAssassin for junk mail filtering. It would be nice if white/black list entries could be entered through the Evolution settings GUI. It is my understanding that the "remote tests" for junk mail are Vipule's Razor. At least that is what someone in #evolution on GIMPnet told me. Since I don't have a Vipul's Razor agent installed on my Fedora Core 3 box, there most be some sort of built in agent that Evolution is using. Either way, it would be nice if you could do a razor-report from Evolution. This would make it a lot easier for the average guy.
uhm... spamassassin integration has been rearranged to be an eplugin in evolution 2.3/2.4 (2.3 is the unstable development cycle we're currently in). so perhaps there's a chance to do this by also enhancing/writing an eplugin. as discussed with nags, changing component to "Misc" to get rid of the UI component, also reassign to Misc-assignee.
well, to me it's just bloat, if you're the average guy you should do stuff like this on the server and not in evolution, but anyway...
There are no plans to provide this in Evolution. WONTFIX.
