GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 273533
displaying appointments on wrong dates in calendar month view
Last modified: 2013-09-13 00:48:08 UTC
running evolution-2.1.6.0.200503080410-0.snap.ximian.10.1, sometimes it happens when i mark two weeks by clicking on the little week numbers in the date navigator (let's call it so) in the upper right corner, and then expand it to three weeks, the dates in the third week get displayed wrong (all dates of the week are displayed on monday, in the order of there absolute appearance (a full day event on friday is before the sunday full day event, though they both get displayed on monday with 0:00. this is the first screenshot (take a look at the bolded days in the date navigator contrary to the days with events displayed in month view and compare to the correct, second screenshot). if i now change the selection to anything else and highlight again those three weeks like before, everything get displayed as normally (see second screenshost attached). hmm...not easy to reproduce, but i now see this for the second time that i've realized the bug. hmmm... nobody will miss an appointment (since the appintments are always shown *before* their correct date), but it's still quite strange to a normal user. i'll keep priority at normal since it's a rare case this happens (at least it seems so).
Created attachment 44952 [details] wrong month view displaying events on a false day
Created attachment 44953 [details] correct month view (after changing selection and changing back)
uh, i just see when switching between both screenshots that in the wrong one, the date in the grey part just above the tree of calendars is also wrong, it shows "07 Mar - 03 Apr 2005" instead of "07 - 27 Mar".
Is it reproducible in 2.5.x?
varadhan, i have not seen this for quite a while and i am unable to reproduce this with 2.5.3 rpm snapshot dated today. i'm going to close this as incomplete, will reopen if this happens again.
