Description Michael Meeks 2005-03-01 17:45:40 UTC
I'm getting a lot of:

[snip]:
BBDB spinning up...
** (evolution-2.2:6232): CRITICAL **: file bbdb.c: line 155 (bbdb_do_it):
assertion `book != NULL' failed
** (evolution-2.2:6232): CRITICAL **: file bbdb.c: line 155 (bbdb_do_it):
assertion `book != NULL' failed
[/snip]

on the console. Perhaps these are related to whatever is causing the
henious, multiple addressbook authentication failures on my G/W A/B - I
counted 15 repeated dialog:

Title: 'Failed to authenticate'
Body:	"Failed to authenticate.\n
Enter password for Novell GroupWise Address Book (user mmeeks)"

Cancelling each one serially - and this 15-cascade happening relatively
frequently during mail reading/composition ... [ hmm ].
Comment 1 André Klapper 2005-07-13 17:20:39 UTC
same with bug 271984, bug 271985, bug 306571.
Comment 2 Not Zed 2005-08-10 03:03:54 UTC
i'd recommend you disable the plugin anyway (particularly because of the
multiple warning boxes).

the book != null one is a real bug too
Comment 3 Michael Meeks 2005-08-10 09:13:57 UTC
I think the multiple warnings are the other famous gw/auth bug :-) so ignore that.

reassigning jpr's old evolution\miscellaneous bugs to harish
Comment 6 Sankar P 2007-06-05 09:58:55 UTC
Will commit it after the 2.11.3 release
Comment 7 Srinivasa Ragavan 2007-06-18 05:04:35 UTC
Sankar, I see that the patches fail to apply, can you rework and commit Sankar.
Comment 8 Matthew Barnes 2008-03-11 00:21:42 UTC
Bumping version to a stable release.
Comment 9 Akhil Laddha 2009-12-03 06:52:00 UTC
If this patch still holds the value, are we planning to commit any time soon ?
Comment 10 André Klapper 2021-05-19 12:28:30 UTC
GNOME is going to shut down bugzilla.gnome.org in favor of gitlab.gnome.org.
As part of that, we are mass-closing older open tickets in bugzilla.gnome.org (resources are unfortunately quite limited so not every ticket can get handled).

If you can still reproduce the situation described in this ticket in a recent
and supported software version, then please follow
  https://wiki.gnome.org/Community/GettingInTouch/BugReportingGuidelines
and create a new bug report ticket at
  https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/evolution/-/issues/

Thank you for your understanding and your help.
