GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 270956
Option to file sent mail with the email to which it was a reply
Last modified: 2005-05-19 11:25:19 UTC
Distribution: Mandrakelinux release 10.1 (Community) for i586 Package: Evolution Priority: Wishlist Version: GNOME2.6.2 2.0.2 Gnome-Distributor: MandrakeSoft Synopsis: Option to file sent mail with the email to which it was a reply Bugzilla-Product: Evolution Bugzilla-Component: Mailer Bugzilla-Version: 2.0.2 Description: I would like an option to file sent mail with the email to which it was a reply (as per M$ Outlook) Unknown reporter: jrposting@yahoo.co.uk, changed to bugbuddy-import@ximian.com. Setting qa contact to the default for this product. This bug either had no qa contact or an invalid one.
You can use outgoing filters to do it. If youŕe talking about different SMTP accounts, you can do it in 2.0 on the account defaults (tools->settings->Accounts -> defaults.)
I don't see how to do it with outgoing filters. You can file all outgoing mail to folders depending on some criteria, but I don't see a possibility to file it with the email to which it was a reply.
So I misunderstood your request. Please ellaborate a little more on this report and give at least an idea of what are you proposing with further detail. Then please reopen the report. Also I recall a likely request somewhere in bugzilla, please check for that one first.
I've had a look for similar requests and can't find anything, so here goes: Like most people, I file my email in different folders, e.g.: Stuff More Stuff Yet More Stuff I would like an option so that if I reply to an email in Stuff, then the reply gets stored in Stuff, as opposed to Sent. This saves having to do it manually afterwards.
