GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 270157
Layout and tab-navigation of Mailing Address tab is hokey
Last modified: 2005-07-16 17:17:03 UTC
Please fill in this template when reporting a bug, unless you know what you are doing. Description of Problem: In the Mailing Address tab of a contact editor window, the Zip/Postal Code entry comes between the City and State/Province. Seems like Zip Code should be after City and State (that's the common way you see it here in the states at least, and I believe Canada as well). Also, if you are editing the City and hit tab, it should navigate to the next entry (right now that's Zip Code, but it should be State, IMO). Instead, it navigates to the Address. Not only is the Address field usually the first to be edited, but once it has keyboard focus you can't tab out of it becuase it's a text area. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Open an (editable) Contact window. Go to the Mailing Address tab. 2. Bring keyboard focus to the City field. 3. Hit tab. Actual Results: Focus moves to the Address field. Expected Results: Focus should move to the next field after City (right now it's Zip Code, preferably it should be State/Province). How often does this happen? Always Additional Information:
