Description Tommi Komulainen 2004-11-28 12:57:25 UTC
-----------------------------------
Evolution Error
-----------------------------------
Error while Pinging IMAP server XYZ

Success.
-----------------------------------

(There's also "Error while Scanning folders in ..." "Server unexpectedly
disconnected: Connection timed out." or my favorite "Server unexpectedly
disconnected: Success.")

These error dialogs seem utterly useless. They provide no clue whatsoever
about the severity of the error. Do I need to do something, there's no
hint about what that something might be? And if I don't need to do
anything why show the dialog in the first place?
Comment 1 Tommi Komulainen 2005-04-27 13:28:41 UTC
Reopening and reassigning to UI since I simply can't believe useless error
messages are something one would intentionally designed for.
Comment 2 André Klapper 2005-05-04 14:45:20 UTC
in order to destroy the UI component (as discussed with jpr and dobey), changing
component to mailer.
Comment 3 André Klapper 2005-05-04 14:54:11 UTC
uhm, shouldn't forget to add the UI keyword
Comment 4 Not Zed 2005-05-19 06:27:39 UTC
this is a dup of some other one about error messages going to a notify area or
something
