GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 269108
Regression: Cannot go to next unread message after selecting thread
Last modified: 2013-09-10 14:03:33 UTC
Description of Problem: If you select a thread (i.e. to mark all as "read"), no functions in the View->Go To menu will work. This is a regression; up through some versions of 1.5.x, I was able to quickly clean up my mailing list folders by repeatedly doing Ctrl-H (mark thread), Ctrl-K (mark as read), period (go to next unread). Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Ctrl-H: Select a thread 2. Period: Go to next unread message Actual Results: Nothing happens. Expected Results: The next unread message would be selected, as before. I don't see why any of the View->Go To actions should be disabled when a thread is selected; Go To->Next/Prev Message is greyed out in this case, which *does* reflect the disabled behaviour--but the rest are not greyed out, and simply do not work. Note that if you manually select the thread (using click + shift-click), Go To Next Unread (and all other Go To actions) works fine. How often does this happen? Always!
