GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 263592
Add "Go to Folder" menu option
Last modified: 2015-04-03 12:52:57 UTC
The only way to switch folders I can find is to laboriously tab over to the folder list? In 1.4, I would do ctrl+G, arrow, arrow, enter Maybe this is a support request instead of a bug report, if there's a way to do it ;-)
I was about to file a bug about this same issue when I found this one, so I'll just add my "ACK" here instead. I also find it very time consuming to have to fiddle around with the mice or lots of tabbing to focus the folder pane thing. The old "Ctrl-G" shortcut was very useful.
still valid in 2.2.3; regression.
"lots of tabbing"? enable gtk quick search in the folder pane in evolution's gconf settings. now one or two times "F6", then press "." and use the type ahead search. i don't think it's much harder now than before, comments?
If this is such a useful feature, surely a preference option should be available instead of only being able to change directly via gconf.
the workaround is sub-par. i don't normally have the sidebar open. without the sidebar, f6 doesn't help at all. this worked in evolution-1, and works in outlook 2003. pretty fundamental capability.

Moving this to Mailer.
Let it be View->Go to Folder (Ctrl+G). Created commit 62df29b in evo master (3.17.1+)
