GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 261836
"Publish Free/Busy information" fails silently
Last modified: 2013-09-13 00:54:21 UTC
If I haven't set up a location to publish my free/busy info to, selecting "Publish Free/Busy Information" just fails silently. it should warn me it's not doing anything and why, and offer to bring up the config tool.
Also, once configured, there's no feedback indicating failure, improper format, etc. And how do I know where to find the data once it's been published?
shouldn't it just disable the menu if you have no enabled f/b servers set? "And how do I know where to find the data once it's been published?" - Well, since it is up to the user to configure exactly where it will be published, presumably they know already.
Yeah, probably a better idea to disable the menu item.

reassigning stuff that has been assigned to notzed. goodbye, dude. :-/
still in 2.7.3. targetting this to 2.7 as this is user-unfriendly and we have a patch. we should at least add a popup window which provide information. adding srini to CC.
