Description Tom Wesley 2004-05-27 21:33:24 UTC
Description of Problem:

Some of the HTML messages (mainly the annoying forwards you get from school
friends) seem to freeze the preview pane.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
1. Get an annoying friend
2. Receive annoying email
3. Preview message.

How often does this happen?
Every time.

Additional Information:
I can forward an offending message, but they're quite large so I won't post
it here.

it would be best if you could attach it here (unless it has personal
info or something).

attaching it to bugzilla bugs is the best way, makes it harder for us
devs to lose stuff :-)

There you go, not really personal...

thanks
Comment 5 Jeffrey Stedfast 2004-05-27 22:24:26 UTC
seems to work fine for me with latest CVS evolution/gtkhtml

since the gtkhtml guys have been fixing a lot of bugs lately, I'll
toss this their way and see if maybe this is something that has
already been fixed.
Comment 6 Tom Wesley 2004-05-28 08:25:03 UTC
OK, some additional information. The freeze only occurs if the option
to load images if the sender is in the address book is selected. The
other two modes seem fine.

sounds like the addressbook is locking up durring the query
