GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 259107
Adding appointment in Inbox view doesn't work.
Last modified: 2013-09-10 14:03:33 UTC
Distribution: Fedora Core release 2 (Tettnang) Package: Evolution Priority: Normal Version: GNOME2.6. 1.4.5 Gnome-Distributor: Red Hat, Inc Synopsis: Adding appointment in Inbox view doesn't work. Bugzilla-Product: Evolution Bugzilla-Component: Calendar Bugzilla-Version: 1.4.5 Description: Description of Problem: When adding an appointment using the 'New->Appointment' menu item whilst in Inbox view, appointment does not appear in Calendar. Steps to reproduce the problem: 1. Go to Inbox. 2. Use menu 'New->Appointment' to create an appointment. Save it. 3. Go to Calendar. Actual Results: No appointment at specified date/time. Expected Results: Appointment at specified date/time in calendar. How often does this happen? Always. Additional Information: I think the evolution alarm notifier still fires for appointments created this way, so it would seem this is a display issue. Cannot confirm currently tho. Evolution version is 1.4.6 but this is not available from Bugzilla. Unknown reporter: Ray.Dysart@OrbisUK.com, changed to bugbuddy-import@ximian.com. Setting qa contact to the default for this product. This bug either had no qa contact or an invalid one.
The same happens with evolution1.5.92 (actually it happened with all the 1.5.x versions I tried). However, in my case when I press save nothing happens (the dialog doesn't disappear). Here is what I see in the console when I press Sava: (evolution-1.5:6919): libecal-CRITICAL **: file e-cal-component.c: line 3655 (e_cal_component_is_instance): assertion `comp != NULL' failed (evolution-1.5:6919): libecal-CRITICAL **: file e-cal-component.c: line 456 (e_cal_component_clone): assertion `comp != NULL' failed (evolution-1.5:6919): calendar-gui-CRITICAL **: file comp-editor-page.c: line 264 (comp_editor_page_fill_component): assertion `comp != NULL' failed (evolution-1.5:6919): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: file gobject.c: line 1337 (g_object_unref): assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed I can add appointments if I go to Calendar.
Well the latter problem is already fixed. Don't know about the 1.4.x issue.
as discussed on irc with gerardo, this is a duplicate of bug 255908. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 255908 ***
