Description Karsten Bräckelmann 2004-05-22 00:46:48 UTC
Changing mail account settings (like the update interval) forces a complete
IMAP re-scan.

Steps to reproduce the problem:
- Tools / Settings / Mail Accounts / <account> Edit
- change an option like increase "automatic update interval" from 2 to 3
- click "OK" button

Actual Results:
At the time applying the changed settings with "OK" the entire IMAP account
collapses and the "Loading..." message gets displayed.

Expected Results:
Nothing visible (till the next auto check for new messages).

Why do we need to re-scan the entire IMAP account for a setting like this??

Reproduceable: always

this is the easiest/most reliable way to track server setting changes.

its not going to get fixed by 2.0.
